This policy explains how Mystical Tarot Instant Readings, created and developed by Fortuna Lectiones, handles information when you use the web app.
Information Stored on Your Device
Mystical Tarot stores some information locally in your browser so the app can work without requiring an account. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- light/dark theme and app preferences;
- your Card of the Day history and streak;
- tarot questions, generated readings and journal entries that you choose to keep;
- a temporary verified-reading entitlement before a paid reading is started; and
- the active paid reading snapshot so the same reading can be restored after an accidental refresh or browser restart.
This reading content is stored in your browser/device. The app does not send your tarot question or generated card interpretation to Fortuna Lectiones merely to generate the reading.
Paid Instant Readings and Payhip
Paid readings are sold through Payhip. Payhip handles checkout, payment processing and delivery of the unique licence key used to unlock the purchased reading. Fortuna Lectiones does not directly collect or store your full payment-card details.
When you enter a licence key in Mystical Tarot, the key is sent to a secure Netlify Function for verification with Payhip. When you press Shuffle the deck, the function checks the key again and records one use with Payhip so that the key unlocks one reading.
Payhip's verification response may contain purchase information needed by its licence system. Mystical Tarot does not expose the purchaser's email address to the browser and this build does not create a customer profile or central reading-history database.
Payhip operates under its own privacy policy, terms and payment practices.
Netlify Hosting
The Mystical Tarot website and its serverless verification functions may be hosted by Netlify. As with ordinary website hosting, Netlify may process technical information necessary to deliver and secure the service, such as network requests and standard service logs, under Netlify's own policies.
How Information Is Used
Information handled by Mystical Tarot is used only to provide the requested website functions, including remembering settings, restoring local readings, keeping your local journal, verifying a paid-reading licence key, and preventing the same one-reading key from being intentionally reused.
Data Sharing and Sale
Fortuna Lectiones does not sell or rent your personal information for marketing. Information may be processed by service providers such as Payhip and Netlify where necessary to provide payment, licence verification, hosting, security or related website functions.
Clearing Local Reading Data
Because reading history is stored locally, clearing your browser's site data/local storage may remove your Mystical Tarot journal, preferences, Card of the Day history and resumable active reading from that device. Fortuna Lectiones may not be able to restore locally deleted reading content.
Entertainment and Personal Reflection
Mystical Tarot is an automated, self-guided tarot tool for entertainment, educational, creative and personal-reflection purposes. Instant Readings are generated by the software and are not personally performed by Fortuna Lectiones. A purchase does not include correspondence or follow-up interpretation from the creator.
Children's Privacy
Mystical Tarot is not directed to children under 13. If you believe personal information concerning a child has been submitted through a third-party payment or hosting service, contact Fortuna Lectiones and the relevant service provider.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the web app, payment process or service providers change. The current version will be made available with Mystical Tarot.
